The Master Key System Chapter 10 Explained – Mastering Cause And Effect
The Master Key System Chapter 10 deals with the principle of cause and effect and how one can utilize it for success.
There are two types of people on Earth.
Those who understand fundamental Universal Laws and those who don’t.
The ignorant blame outer conditions for their suffering.
“The ordinary man, who has no definite knowledge of cause and effect, is governed by his feeling or emotions…If he fails as a business man, he says that luck is against him…If he is a poor office man, he says that he could succeed better at some outdoor work. If he lacks friends, he says his individuality is too fine to be appreciated.”
— Charles Haanel
The wise does not take circumstances personally.
If he is in a bad circumstance he understands that it’s solely because of his improper use of some fundamental laws.
He does not believe in luck and knows that for every effect there is a traceable cause.
If he wants a certain condition, perhaps dependable friends, a lavish lifestyle, a passionate relationship and a fulfilling career, he uncovers the necessary causes.
Tony Robbins famously did this with the ‘modeling’ NLP techniques.
He was first a student of many life coaches such as John Grinder and Jim Rohn before emulating many of their thought patterns, behaviors and actions.
Using similar causes allowed him to achieve similar effects and become a juggernaut in the personal development industry.
Spiritual Law vs Natural Law
The law of cause and effect is the backbone of every discovery in science.
The Laws of Gravitation, Motion, Electricity and Thermodynamics would not have been discovered if nature were not consistent.
Just as there are Natural Laws which one can utilize to create change in the physical world, there are also Spiritual Laws.
“Spiritual power is superior because it exists on a higher plane. It has enabled man to discover the law by which these wonderful forces of Nature could be harnessed and made to do the work of hundreds and thousands of men.”
— Charles Haanel
Geniuses who have been able to tap into higher planes were able to discern the workings of the universe.
Thinking is what led these geniuses to make discoveries which gave mankind more leverage to harness the power of nature.
If great minds did not think, we would still be hitting each other with clubs for coconuts.
But how did these great sages arrive at such grand conclusions?
The process can be explained with a plant.
The Master Key System Chapter 10 Big Idea – The Law of Growth
Have you ever wondered how a living entity like a plant can come from lifeless matter such as minerals and soil?
The seed possesses the potential for life and when put in the right conditions becomes galvanized with life.
After it’s planted, the lifeless matter becomes one with the living plant.
This is the only way to move from inorganic to organic.
“The only way that matter can unfold is to be impregnated with life; as a seed reaches down into the mineral world and begins to unfold and reach out, the dead matter begins to live.”
— Charles Haanel
Replace the plant with some manifestation you want to see on the physical plane.
Perhaps it’s a new penthouse you would like to purchase, or a business partner you would like to attract.
Great.
But what is the seed?
The seed in this case is your thought which becomes the spiritual prototype of the physical manifestation.
When you hold the thought in your mind with concentration, intention and faith over a period of time, your subconscious mind will become impressed with the idea.
The Law of Growth which helps the plant grow from the seed will also help bring forth the manifestation of your thought.
This will happen through natural means.
You will walk through the Bridge of Incidents which has been constructed by a far greater intelligence.
“The great error of the present day is the idea that Man has to originate the intelligence whereby the Infinite can proceed to bring about a specific purpose or result. Nothing of this kind is necessary. The Universal Mind can be depended upon to find the ways and means for bringing about any necessary manifestation. We must, however, create the ideal and this ideal should be perfect.”
— Charles Haanel
Let go of trying to control how things unfold.
Take the obvious actions and remain vigilant of destructive thought patterns which aim to destroy the growth.
These thought patterns can be seen as weeds in the garden of the mind.
Use the Law wisely
“If you entertain thoughts which are not in accordance with the Infinite and cannot therefore be polarized, there is no circuit. You are isolated, the thoughts cling to you, harass you, worry you, and finally bring about disease and possibly death.”
— Charles Haanel
To use natural laws such as the ones which govern electricity requires caution.
No matter how great the mind, if a man disobeys the laws by perhaps touching a wire without sufficient insulation, he will meet with a gruesome death.
Or if he doesn’t arrange the circuit properly, he will not be able to extract nature’s power regardless of how much he begs.
The laws are neutral. They have been here since time immemorial, and all they request is the respect of proper use.
The same goes for spiritual laws.
If you think negatively, you cannot be in harmony with the Universal Mind.
The Master Key System Chapter 10 Exercise Explained
“This week select a blank space on the wall, or any other convenient spot, from where you usually sit. Mentally draw a black horizontal line about six inches long, try to see the line as plainly as though it were painted on the wall. Now mentally draw two vertical lines connecting with this horizontal line at either end. Now draw another horizontal line connecting with the two vertical lines. Now you have a square. Try to see the square perfectly. When you can do so, draw a circle within the square. Now place a point in the center of the circle. Now draw the point toward you about 10 inches. Now you have a cone on a square base. You will remember that your work was all in black. Change it to white, to red, to yellow.”
— Charles Haanel
This exercise, much like the earlier ones, is designed to help you develop your visualization skill. To connect with the Universal Mind you need to use your thoughts. The clearer your thinking and mental projections, the more accurate your manifestation will be. The architect must use straight, clear lines to best represent the design to the engineer. If he did his work in crayons, the final product would lack elegance.
Remember, you have nothing to do with the means of how you obtain your goal. Your job is simply to rely an accurate image of what you want and then to follow the obvious signs which will present themselves in the outside world.
Do this, and you will be one step closer to living and dying well.
